When I bought the collector’s edition of Bravely Default, I got the artbook included with it. It was a cool book that you can see here, on So Artbooks. I didn’t think that any other artbook had been released since then, so I never looked for one. However, when I was browsing my usual bookstore, I came across this artbook. I was really surprised!

This artbook is very thick! Not necessarily because of the number of pages (256), but because of the thickness of the paper itself! Through this book, you’ll encounter two different kinds of paper: a glossy kind for the definitive art, and a rough, “cheaper” kind for the research works. The “cheaper” kind is not a bad paper, of course, but it does rather remind me of watercolor paper. I like it.

In this artbook, you’ll find three major sections:

  • The game gallery (Bravely Default: Flying Fairy and the improved Japanese game, Bravely Default: For the Sequel);
  • The art of Bravely Default: Praying Brage, the mobile game;
  • A special gallery with exclusive artwork.

This artbook is veeeeery good! It’s one of the best I have. I’m not saying that because I like the game, necessarily; I’m saying that because the extensive amount of content in it is very impressive, and it’s exactly what I’m looking for in an artbook!

    1. Hello Reuben,

      I’ve check several times and some arts included in the Deluxe Edition’s Artbook are not in this one. Maybe there are hidden somewhere but I didn’t find them :(!
